In order to install a fresh copy of windows OS, you first have to format and/or partition one of your HDDs. To delete the XP-Home OS, simply do the following:
Start up your computer as normal, run XP Pro when it prompts you to choose between Home or Pro to start up.
Go to My Computer once you have Pro loaded, right click on the HDD or partiition where you have installed the HOME OS. Format the drive, thus PERMANENTLY DELETING EVERYTHING that's on that drive, including the OS.
Be sure you are in PRO in order to delete HOME, otherwise you will end up having HOME remaining instead :\

Hi!
I have the same problem. Two different versions of Window XP installed on the same C drive (It doesn't overwrite like I supposed). So I can't format like you all suggested. Two window folders in C drive, I delete the unwanted folders manually and there is still a system folder that doesn't allow me to delete. The window still works well but it prompts me to choose one of the Systems (Window Versions) at start up (I don't want this).
How can I remove the system folder and the prompt at start up?

If u installed home edition on drive D after pro which installed on (C),right click on drive D and select format and format it in NTFS.
If u installed pro edition second go and format D like i said for home ed. And then reboot computer with ur pro edition CD.Then complete installation by overwriting it on the drive C .It will uninstall home and install pro.Is it helpful

It is wonderful. How many HDD on your computer? or How many partitions on your computer's HDD? All partitions set as primary drive? Any other inportant data on second drive or partition?
One partition can accept one window system. If you install another one, older version will overwrite by new version. So, what is your problem?
If you install window on another partition or another HDD, Just delete in manually. Or Delete a partition which you don't like. You can use partition magic software.
You are very lucky because I am so free in this time.

you do no longer ought to delete each little thing, do exactly a clean deploy, you maintain lot of settings that way and that's a faster restoration. you would be able to additionally only put in the XP disk and attempt a restoration. despite the fact that way, good success!
