Please rate modular home manufacturers.?

I don't own one, but I have heard that they are made of steel and that they are great quality. I think that the only negative stigma when people hear steel construction is a trailer home, but from what I undestand you can make one of these homes look like any normal expensive home ranch or two story home.

Karsten Homes - I work accross the highway from a manufacturing site in Breckenridge, Texas and talk to workers and former workers. All I hear is good stuff. If it was inferior they would be talking. I hear 2 by six frames etc.

They are like mobile homes but stronger than most mobile homes and come in 2 or 3 sections which joined togther look much like a regular home. I hear the axles are not made to stay under them. Most have 104 or 106 templtex like siding. Plenty of widows. Some recently had siding that resembles a log home.. Various styles are available.
