Sex in the 80's was not uncommon but today--WOW?

I hate the way people treat sex. It's so magical and amazing when it's not thrown around. To be one with your lover and only that one person is indescribable. Don't even get me started on STDs...

I think you've lived a VERY sheltered life.

Having lived through the 80's there were A LOT of sex going on with teens.

Watch any of the 80's teen moives like Fast Times at Ridgemont High to get some idea.

I'm not even going to go into my own personal experiences.

It really has a lot to do with the individual involved. Pressure, desire, curiosity and education. Growing up, I knew many people that started having sex in junior high, some in high school. I was very religious as a teenager, and so were my friends. Many of us did not engage in sexual activities until we began college and had freedom from our parents.

By the way. I'm 23, and graduated from hs in '02.

I would have to say it starts in the 6th grade. Seems today verses the 80's is..... In the 80's it was more of the two parent family. Now it is one parent and the one parent works atleast one job to make ends meet. Less time to teach morals to their children.

I think morals have gotten really loose since the 80's. Kids see more and more on TV and in movies now and think it's ok.

grade 4-5 to be brutally truthful. its when kids notice differences among themselves and junk. depending on supervision sex starts at 11

personally i didn't have sex until my senior year in highschool. i had a friend that lost it freshman year and other friends whose siblings lost it in 7th and 8th grade. they keep getting younger because everyone becomes more informed of what it is and its suddenly no big deal to most people. and a lot of younger kids want to do it because it's "cool"
