who is selling a puppy?

you will not get a yorkie for under 50 bucks...i have no idea where you can get one for that price unless you find it on the street...check your local animal center maybe...

Price is the very last thing that you should be considering when buying a dog. You should be more concerned about buying the right dog for you (lifelong friend), how to keep the dog healthy for his whole life, and where the dog comes from.

If you adopt from a shelter (this is your best option), you should be able to find a dog for less than $100, but you may have to wait for your Yorkie.

If you buy from a breeder (best option if you plan to show your dog- I'm guessing you won't be), you'll spend up toward $800 for a Yorkie. Before you do this, make sure you are buying from a reliable breeder by checking to see if there is a Yorkie Club of America website. Clubs usually give breeder references, and the breeder has to follow guidelines set by the club.

If you buy from a pet store (possibly also from newspaper ads), you could be buying a cheaper puppy that could have huge vet bills later in life. (You should be reading this as: DON'T BUY FROM A PET STORE!!)
