Because they don't want to kiss you on the lips.

Y'know, I never say kiss my ***. My mother told me that a lady never offers her *** to be kissed like that. Maybe there's no rule about it being bad manners to say that, but since she told me that from jump street, It's second nature to me. It's just something you don't say, it's not cute.
