I found this in our massive observatory database ..
Solar cycle 24, due to peak in 2010 or 2011 .The amount of geomagnetic activity now tells us what the solar cycle is going to be like 6 to 8 years in the future.
I looked up past records in our database and looks like its going to be one of the most intense cycles ! I'm going to get our solar radar team working on this.
Great question !
further update ..
Evidence is mounting: the next solar cycle is going to be a big one.
www.solarmonitor.org associates have been contacted . thanks to your question we have some upcoming solar activity to monitor !
if you would like to know what's going on in the weeks to come send me an email and i'll send you what's going on.

The sun is always in a solar cycle. The next solar maxima (..marked by lots of sunspot activity..) will occur in 2010 or 2011.
