Having fibroid removed is safe. The procedure is called a myomectomy. There are several ways to have it done. The amount, location and size will determine the procedure what is best for you.
Just because you have fibroids does not mean that they need to be removed. Are you have heavy bleeding and pain?
I have seven small ones and my doctor is treating them with birth control pills. So far, so good.
A myomectomy can cause scar tissue which could create a problem if you want to become pregnant. That is why I have not had one yet. It is easier to get pregnant and carry a child to term if you have fribroids than scar tissue.
Also know that a myomectomy is not a permanent fix. There is a possibility that the fibroids can grow back.
Look for the best doctor in your area. Get several opinions.
I know that it is hard and difficult to make a decision. Best wishes.

fibrioids are usually harmless tumors. They don't usually bother you, unless they continue to grow. If that's the case, then your doctor would probably want to remove it. Removing a fibroid is safe.
