I would certainly have to invite my friend's grandfather, William Wallace, Spiterri, Smiler and a certain pirate.
I would make my famous steak that is so tender after grilling you don't need a knife, garlic mashed potatoes and a surprise to be announced just before it is served.

Oooh, good question.
Right. I'd invite:
*Anne Boleyn - she seemed like a very charismatic and vivacious lady - I'm sure she'd keep the conversation rolling.
*Adolf Hitler - again, a charismatic (if dangerously insane) man. He and Anne would probably get along well and I would like to talk with him.
*Pontius Pilate - I'd like to get his take on how his PR has gone down since the Gospels.
*Mary Wollestonecraft - a real heroine of mine, a wonderful woman and a brilliant writer.
*Oscar Wilde - like the Victorian aristocracy, I'd invite him for his conversation and I'd like to hear him mocking Hitler - if ever a man needed to take himself less seriously it's Adolf.
*Clarke Gable - for his brooding good looks and suave southern accent - he could be the charmer for the evening.
As far as food is concerned, I think that I'd go for opulence all the way. Perhaps a Roman-style banquet with fish, fruit, salad, meats and sweets. The guests are so diverse that I couldn't really go for a set menu!!

John Lennon, Ellen DeGeneres, Jon Stewart, Harry Truman and Billy Graham. That should be a lively conversation.
The only thing I can really make that's good is meat loaf and mashed potatoes, so we would have that.
