No, not yet. Jimmie is always going to have his fans and his haters. Three of the reasons some fans hate Johnson are because:

    1. He is associated with Hendrick Motorsports and Jeff Gordon and Jr. and Stewart fans usually hate Gordon because he can be arrogant

    2. His crew chief Chad Knaus has been caught cheating several times over the past couple of years

    3. Jimmie is not the superstar personality type of southerner that NASCAR fans usually like. He is a laid back California kid but really hasn't connected with fans like a Stewart or a Earnhardt

I am a fan of Johnson and I don't hate him. I don't have a problem with other fans hating him because thats their opinion. Jimmie probably already is viewed by his fans as a great driver. By his haters, he probably will have to get away from Gordon, Knaus, and Hendrick Motorsports to be a great driver in their own world.

It's undeniable that there are certain guys you don't like that you have to admit are very good drivers. Matt Kenseth is not real flashy or popular but he is extremely consistent and always seems to be hanging around the top 5 or 10 at the end of most races (and seasons for that matter). Jeff Gordon has been hated for years after his teams were so dominant with Ray Evernham as his crew chief. Jimmie Johnson isn't the greatest driver in the cup series right now but he knows how to take care of his equipment and what to tell Chad Knaus about how the car is handling. He also does a good job of staying out of or avoiding trouble. I think Tony Stewart has more driving ability but maybe not the same patience as Matt and Jimmie. Tony's erratic driving in a few races last year cost him making the chase. Sure the owner, crew chief/team and equipment are all huge parts of the success of the 48 car but if you think that Johnson can't run with ANYBODY in the cup series you haven't been watching him since 2002. I know people point out certain races and say they gave it to him but do you really think NASCAR has conspired to give him 110 top 10s in 5 years (never less than 20 in a season since he started). I really have a hard time thinking they favored some rookie they had never heard of (3 wins, 21 top 10s and 5th in points, 2002). Even if you love to hate him he's already in the record books and not anywhere near being done.

Let's just say,Jimmie J's Busch Career was not a success and marginal at best.He steps into one of the best cars and has all the monetary resources available,if he was to fail it would make everyone from Hendrick to Gordon look very bad.He has been getting NASCAR's breaks for a few years now and it finally went their way last year.If NASCAR keeps cooking up Phantom Yellows like they did yesterday and continue to give him 4 Lucky Dogs like he got at Martinsville last year,no one will beat him.The very thought of a yellow as soon as Knaus said they would not make it to the finish was as blatant as they come. They wonder why ticket sales are down, they wonder why TV viewership is down, maybe NASCAR helping them has a lot to do with it.The thought of it becoming a high speed version of the WWE is turning the true racing fan off.Jimmie should have been penalized again last week after the pit official had to retrieve a tire, but was he....NO,let's just let him head back out and win another race he surely did not deserve to win.Would they have left Dave Blaney get away with that,I seriously doubt it.Let's just say,Johnson's wins have come with a lot more help from NASCAR than from the team.He should have been forced to watch last years Daytona race from the comfort of his home as should many of this year's cheaters.NASCAR has to soon realize that penalties for cheating are not as severe as needed.Send the whole team home, let the sponsor suffer a little bit. While they are at it,get rid of that damn top 35 point fiasco,if you can't go fast enough in qualifying you go home, simple as that.

No Johnson is not as good as he appears to be,ask NASCAR about their recent calls,non-calls and Phantom Yellows and you will surely see that Johnson was a top 10 car but not a winning car without their help.

No I will never be a Johnson fan and as far as his success this week you can thank a Nascar official for saving him from a penalty that anyone else would have recieved. I also believe that when he wins he has cheated for that is all that team is good for cheatin..... every year they get caught with something. I will never be a Johnson fan I cheer for him to be taken out every week and will continue to do so .

I dont necessarily admire his talent, I am not a fan of him at all, but he is definately one of the better drivers, I wouldnt say hes better then say Stewart and probably just as talented as Gordon, Kenseth.

However i think what it comes down to is Knaus, as much as I hate Hendrick. Knaus is one hell of a crew chief always gives Johnson incredible cars so alot of his success his due to Knaus who is probably the best crew chief in the garage

I think the Johnson haters would be forced to admit driving talent if Knaus didn't get busted so often for cheating.

I have to admire his talent, even though I am not a fan of his. He has a great crew chief and the best equipment which makes him a winner along with his talent.

It seems that whatever he does someone puts a bad spin on it whihc you can do with basically any driver and his success is making it hard for people to hate him yet I think that adds to the haters because he is so good and alot of peoples drivers arent as good as the drivers they hate and thats why they dislike them and then their are the other cases where you just hate a driver because they race dirty or something else like that.

undecided if I properly comprehend your question. besides the fact that if, i've got faith that Jimmie is getting a ton greater bashing than Kyle is getting or has ever gotten. the explanation i'm no longer able to stand Kyle ( and that i attempted to love him) is with the help of the fact he's merely rude and has a foul strategies-set. If he does no longer win he does no longer desire to be on digicam and clarify to his followers how his day went. another motive force will take some seconds to describe to the digicam and his followers how his race went and his opinion on it, no longer Kyle.

  • If not, It should be! Whether you're a fan of his or not, You have to respect the fact that JJ has MAJOR TALENT.. He's got his 25th win so far.. Check the stats on when Stewart, Earnhardt Jr, and Kenseth came into NASCAR and see how many wins they had @ this point? You'll notice a couple of them haven'e even caught JJ YET! And they've been racing much longer!
