Unfortunately not. This is something we've asked for in the suggestion forum, so hopefully one day Yahoo will implement it!
Yahoo! Answers employee Katie responded to a similar question a while ago with:
"A daily counter, or ticker, to let you know how many more posts you have left in the day is a great idea, and is being kept in mind with the overall increase in personal inforamtion people would like to have added to their My Q&A page."

I am at level seven, so I have unlimited questions available to me (contingent, of course, on having to "pay" 5 points for each one). I haven't used any today, but I rarely ask questions at all.

Yes you can.
From level 1-4, everytime you aska question, on the question page, it informs you how many points you will lose for a question and how many questions you can ask today.
I'm level 4, so I have 20 questions to ask, and I haven't ask any yet today..
Try to check when you ask a question. There is.
"Asking costs you 5 points. You can ask 20 more questions today. You have 4,986 points.Earn more points by answering other people's questions."
Only for level 1-4.

I don't want to sound like I'm gloating but I finally made it to level 6 and, once you're on level 5, you can answer unlimited questions.

No, and there isn't a reminder notice that you have one question left to ask
