Class A CDL question?
Does anyone know what kind of jobs you can get with a Class A CDL, besides driving a semi? Maybe like a home every night kind of thing.. any ideas??? I live in Ohio which is not the best place for opportunity.
But what kind of jobs are out there for a person with a Class A CDL?

Check around with some local companies. There are plenty of companies that are local only, no over the road. You would be home nightly with them. Also, check with companies that have terminals in your area. They may have a job driving the yard dog.
(it is a truck used in yards to just move the trailers around) You can get magazines with job listings, hiring areas, and requirements at just about every truck stop. Grab one and start calling around. Some even offer classes to get your license.
Most of the jobs that will be available are going to be driving a semi...as that is what a Class A CDL is for. You could also look into a Class B license and drive a straight truck, or similar.
Good Luck!

I have been driving with a CDL for 35 years. Over the road at this point in my life sucks. So I drive a cement mixer in the summer and a snow plow in the winter. I make more money and am home every night.

With your Class A the opportunities should be plentiful...you can drive semi's or any Class B... anything from a Frito-Lay
truck to a City Dump Truck or maybe Hot Shot is always good
