How do i tell when a mark is used on china?
I recently bought a vegitable bowl and trying to figure out when it was made. IT has a green Royal Bayreuth mark with Germany...ANy help would be helpful

Try the library, they sometimes have books on the marks manufactures use and the dates pertaining to the said marks.

The Royal Bayreuth Porcelain factory was founded 1794 in Tettau, Bavaria, Germany.

You can check ebay and search for royal bayreuth under antiques, but I believe they really don't know the actual value of the pieces. You should ask collectors to find out what aera your piece is from. I am from Germany and I remember that we had some porcelain pieces from Royal Bayreuth and they were very old. Unfortunately I left them in Germany.
