*Seinfeld voice* What's the deeeeal with all the "Top Contributers"?

Some people have an ungodly percentage for their amount of best answers. I think that they just have 3 or 4 accounts and vote on themselves. What do you think.

First, Top Contributor has nothing to do with Levels, Points, or Best Answers. The Yamster himself explains all about it at this blog:

As for multiple accounts -- sorry, nope, only have the one. But, you should be aware that even with only one account -- it is still possible -- and totally legal -- to vote for your own answer, if you can tell which one it is.

Some folks are just good, but the rumor of multiple accounts dog all those with either a high percentage of loads of points

You don't need any more than one account. You can vote on your own answers.

NOW, the top contributor thing confuses me. I see people who are on Level 2 who are top contributors. I am well on my way to Level 6 with 200 plus best answers and no such listing for me. Hmm................

I think you may be on to something. If all their answers are legitimately the "best" that's one thing, but I've seen some pretty stupid irrelevant answers that have been "voted" best.
