I invented something but I'm not getting money for it.?

They took my concept, I sent it to them, refined, marketed and sold my conception. Am I entitled to any compensation?

I disagree with the previous poster. Legel precedant is that as long as you can prove that the idea was yours first then you have a case, regardless of copyrights or patents. There have been cases where a drawing on a napkin has held up as sufficient proof of ownership.

Did you register it for trademark?

Do you have documentation from inception of concept all the way through until you sent it to them? That alone will benefit you greatly.

You'd be better served investing a bit in a lawyer who specializes in this field rather than asking non-lawyers here.

If you can prove you sent them the idea before they came up woth it you might ba able to get compensation but it would be difficult without the design being copyrighted.

Did you get a patent? You will have to be able to prove that you had the idea first.
