everytime i start my pc it shows time n date as 12:00AM 1/1/2001. wat shld i do to get da rite time n date ?

i hav to correct it manually everytime i start my pc, plz help, i dont want to use ne software for dis.

    OK well here is the easy part there is a small battery on your motherboard, this battery controls the time and date when your computer is turned off, The batteries are easy to replace because they are also used in watches, the hard thing is that you need to open up your computer find the battery and replace it with a new one, there are several FAQ's that you can find on the net for this. Total cost is about 2.34 the battery is from Wal-Mart and about another hour or so to complete the project

    Left click twice on the time and you should get a time window. And adjust accordingly.
