    Because the banana wasn't going his way

    Because he didn't have his Banana Transit Card

    Because the banana was too fast and kept slipping out of his grasp

    Because the banana threw another monkey at his feet and he slipped on it

    Because bananas aren't contagious

    Somebody stop me, I could go on forever...
