can anyone tell me an incident of violation of consumer rights?

The Ford Pinto, back in the 70's had a tendency to explode when it was rear-ended and Ford knew about it, and sold the cars anyway. That was a violation of your consumer right to safety. There are about a kajillion more cases of consumer right violations out there and my guess is that you could come up with a few of your own that have happened to you personally.

see every day we go to the petrol pump with our vehicles..we have modern system now such that we fill the sum of rupees and the exact amount of fuel gets filled..but in some cities the old method is still prevalent. the person working there fill the petrol upto an amount slightly less then the required..like if we want rs. 50 petrol then they will fill upto Rs. 49.86...this amount seems small for an individual but if take it in whole then has anyone guessed how much money they make in a day. 14-20 paise from each customer and about 2000 customers a day... isnt this consumer exploitation...

a company for years for years sold milk powder for babies claiming it to be better than mother's milk but it was wrong.this is a case where you have been denied right to be informed.

colo cola is a recent case.it did not accept it had pesticides in it.this is a case where both right to be informed And right to safety has been denied.
