Hitting a jump?
When I hit a jump/kicker, should i push off of my back foot like doing an ollie or push off with both feet at the same time?

If you're just starting out, don't push off at all. Just let the lip of the jump boost you into the air. Start small and build up - practice just rolling over the jump at first.
It's a good idea to pick a spot above the jump (say 20 or 30 yards) and straightline the jump (as opposed to riding in faster and checking yoru speed). Straightlining will help you to ensure you take off with a flat board (edging when doing straight air will create problems for you when you are learning.)
In any freestyle move the four important stages are ATML:
Approach - as I said above, straightline so you don't speedcheck and ensure you have a flat board. A lot of riders feel uneasy riding a flat board as they are - generally speaking - always on an edge. Try finding a green slope or easy blue and flatlining as long as you can. Try popping off your feet and landing back on your flat board to get a eel for riding without any edge.
Take-off - at first, resist the tempation to ollie or push off. Let the lip of ther jump air you. As you gain confidence, etc. you can begin to push off with both feet (remember practicing this on the flat popping off the balls of your feet).
Maneuver - as you start to air, suck up your knees to lower your center of balance. If you are extended, you'll be less stable and the tendency to lean back, etc. (and the resultant effect) will be greater. Keep your head up - pick a spot ahead of you (say a tree). Once past your apex, extend your legs slightly to anticipate your landing.
Landing - Keep your head up. Looking down on landing will pull you right into the hill. As you land, ensure your board is flat and flex your knees to absorb your landing.
Be safe and have fun!

When you go off of a jump, you want to push off with both feet. You should push more with the back than the front so that you don't have to roll down the windows in the air.

Listen to the second guy. Don't push off on your your back or front . Just come up to the hit , ride up and right off the lip. staying over the center of yor board. If you push of your back foot, you will most likely be on your *** and if you push of the front you will end up on your face.
