Anyone remember this kids show? From the 70's or 80's,with puppets & real people,opening/closing of doors?
I've been online forever trying to find out the name of this show. All I remember is a wall of square doors with puppets and real people(maybe one brown haired girl with pigtails?)that come out and speak or ask questions and another will open a door and respond. This is not the entire show but just the part I remember. It could be from the late70's to mid 80's.
I thank everyone for their responses but no one had the right answer. After hours of searching I finally found it! It's The Froozles.I found this on allexperts.com:"The main character was a girl in overalls,a raglan t-shirt,stripped socks, converse, pigtails and a baseball cap.Her character's name was Moffit. She had a high pitched voice and a guy side kick. They all lived in the land of frooze, and if you watched it you were a froozel. They would fly on a magic carpet and look down to earth and call out names. The names were kids who would submit there names to that show. When the show went to break, these scary rabbit puppets working in a tv station production would take us to commercial. At the end of the show the puppets would do a "laugh-In" kind of ending. There was a big sunflower wall with doors, they would pop out and tell really bad jokes.when the end credits ran you would see a white puppet horse pulling a wagon. The puppet's would get out and hammer signs that had the credits on them."

I vaguely remember this and have a strange feeling that it was something produced by Jim Henson's company based on an old comedy show from the 60s, "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In." I'm usually quite good at answering TV related queries like this, but this was obviously a show I gave little time to!
I would be inclined to check out "The Childrens Television Workshop" which is the educational arm of the Henson organisation who produced Sesame Street.

That was the Muppets. It was just a featured segment of the show. Each muppet would pop their head out and say something witty...then another would reply with a sharp barb or wry quip. I loved it! Do you remember the two old men? They were the most sarcastic of the bunch. I also remember Gonzo and the blonde muppet with long braids.
