How do you delete old questions in Yahoo answers?

If you have not chosen a "best answer" and it hasn't gone into voting then you simply click on the "pencil" symbol on the tool bar that appears below your question when you have the question and answers on the page. There's an option for deleting the question.

If it's gone into voting or you already chose a "best answer" then you can't delete it. Only Yahoo can delete it, such as for a violation of the rules.

You can only delete an Open Question.

Once it has been resolved there is no way you can delete it as it becomes part of Yahoo's data bank.

You do have a time frame right at the start, when you can delete it you will see that option at your question - sorry I'm not sure of the time frame but it's short like a day or two at most

Thanks for the question and answers I was needing that info because I put my true name in a question answer that was voted best ans. like a month ago and I would prefer to feel anonymous. Not a big deal, but I wanted to know.

its somewhere near the question just look for delete and click on it...but it subtract -5 point
