If the first falls on a weekend, you are billed on the next business day. So, even if your balance was low on the first, and your available balance increases on the next business day, the bank goes by whatever balance is available on the next business day.

Have no worries, you will be billed on the next business day with the balance that will be available at that time. If you are short, then make sure you deposit via nightsafe deposit box or via ATM, so that your balance will cover the bills on the next business day/Monday.

There is a problem with depositing cash on Monday morning. The problem is that although your deposited cash will be made instantly available, banks usually debit accounts before crediting funds. This means they would bill you, then credit the funds you deposited, so you would pay some penalty late fee for the bills/invoices/outgoings.

So, if you feel that you will be short on funds, deposit them by Sunday evening. Monday morning deposits may result in late fee charges for your bills/invoices.

You will be charges as funds have to be cleared and available day before any DDR's are paid out, hence you would have needed to put cash in Friday/SAt am at latest.

Why dont you ring your bank and ask nicely for their help. They do help sometimes

depends if the bank will pay them for you, some might come back unpaid,my bank last month let the house insurance and loan payment go out when there wasn't enough in because i get them from them, all the other direct debits were returned unpaid so i had to pay charges from the other companies for unpaid direct debits. If you can ring the bank today cancel the direct debits, then reset them when the money is in your bank too pay them.

some companies 'request' their money before the day it officially goes out of your account this has landed me in trouble before! as for the charges at the moment loads of people are claming back from their banks for unfair charges as long as you have your statements. it is unfair to charge you when it is for the sake of 1 day!
