When I turn my pc on there is a sound like chimes, CAN I MAKE THAT STOP??? or change it .?

    The chimes you speak of sound like some kind of motherboard error code. If they are a series of beeps count them and google "motherboard beep codes".

    If it is more like a song you will have to enter your BIOS (press F2, F10, DEL are the more common ones) once in your Bios look around (there should be a legend to tell you how to navigate. BE VERY CAREFUL not to change anything. What you are looking for is some kind of "play sound on boot up" option.

    The last thing, if you are talking about when Windows is starting and is plays 5 notes follow the link below.

    These directions depend on what operating system you have. for windows xp, go to control panel, then sound, speech, and audio devices, then sound and audio devices. go to the sounds tab, then in the menu at the bottom find start windows.

    yes, this is found in the control panel under the sounds folder. here you choose what sound if any you want each window item to play a sound.
