Takes a little while to update your info, and they will not do it on your birth date. They will wait for a month or so, at most, and then you should be able to. Write them an email and get the happenings from them.

Why should your mom care? Now that you're 18, all parental controls should be turned off.
The reason why you can't log in probably is because of a computer glitch, or a failure to register your new age into the server.

Perhaps your parents put a block on the computer without you even knowing it.
