How many answers you get depends on the question, the category you asked it in and the time of day/day of the week that you asked. I find I get more answers in the evenings.

You also tend to get most of your answers within the first 30 minutes of posting the answer. There are exceptions, sure, but most people just answer when the question is on the main page of the category that it's placed in. There are only a few of us that wade back through pages looking for questions to answer.

Remember, it cost you 5 pts. to ask each question so choose a "best answer" because then you get 3 of those points back but if you let it go into "voting" then you don't get 3 pts. back.

It depends on the kind of question, if it is something polemic, you feel like in Xmas, but when the question is about something specifically closed to a community, like software or languages, well, don't expect a lot of answers.

i dont think so... at times i feel i just wasted 5 good points on it... at times i dont get answer to them or get real stupid, dumb, irrelevent answers....
