Weird internet problem?

Hi all,

Weird problem on my PC? it started last night when playing medal of honor - spearhead when trying to connect directly to an ip/server address?

When i typed in the address it didnt work - so i then went to browse internet servers ... it took ages to browse and then never found anything (Checked firewall & stuff nothing blocking it i dont think?)

I can connect to other online games?

I noticed when going to intenet status my packets have not returned to 0 even after a restart? is this right i checked my other computers and they all start from 0? my packets start from approx 1,9000 how do i reset this? i have tried internet options clear cookies and stuff?

Can anyone help ??

Thanks

:)

Update:

Update 2:

Thanks for your help all but i have sorted it now :)

It was the wireless connection for some reason it was blocking my game?? so i restarted it and set it up again and also re-formatted & re-installed windows - Took a while but now running well smooth :)

If you can connect to other online gaming sites at a decent speed, then we can assume that your connection is fine.

I would backup any game saves you have, uninstall the game, reboot, then reinstall it.

May sound like a pain, but it seems like the game is missing a file or a registry entry is corrupt. You should also try turning off your broadband modem for a few seconds and turn it back on. This will give you a new IP address and refresh your connection with that site.

Do you have internet??? don't worry about the packets. they are fine. mine packets are 3 million. try this start -> run , type cmd and in the console window type "ping address" where address in ip address or some domain name. if there is no response try calling to you Internet Service Provider (ISP)

sounds like a virus or spyware run a scan - advanced windows care changes the registry files automatically for you.
