I hate my Dell Computer and spend 90% of the time on my Laptop which is a Toshiba Satellite A105. I love it except for the Battery Life which I plan on rectifying.

I've got a brand new Dell laptop with a dual core 64 bit AMD turion processor, 1gig ram, 80gig hard drive, 256 meg ATI vid card, a 15" screen, and a few other bells and whistles.
It runs windows vista home premium like a champ, and I mainly use it in my studio for running softsynth programs like arturias virtual minimoog, modular moog, and ARP2600, along with some other sequencing programs like sonic foundries 'acid' 'sounforge' and 'vegas'.
The machine cost me about $850 with a wireless router. I am still pretty much floored by it. I helped my dad pick out a Sony VAIO though that is pretty impressive too - it cost about $1000 with a dual core pentium and similar specs to mine (though it is still running XP) the screen is a bit smaller, but he travels a lot for business, and needed something a tad more portable.
Dell gets a bad rap - mostly due to their tech support. Though I have long held that if you have to call tech support, then you obviously couldn't figure it out yourself, and so b**ching that someone can't help you over the phone is kind of retarted. Most 'computer problems' actually occur between the chair and the keyboard if you get my drift.

Nope. I've been using a DELL Inspiron laptop for more than a yer, and it's just great. Definitely worth the money.
