Has anyone here sailed Cape Horn?

What was that experience like? Was it dangerous and challenging? I have heard it referred to as the "Everest" of sailing.

Update:

I have a close relative sailing it right now, I just wonder what he is experiencing.

    I think Nanneke, that Capt. Cook told me that he sailed around Cape Horn, he said it was pretty hairy, with a lot of water all around and on top as well.
