If Oden comes back will Ohio State win it all in 2007-08?

Yes, I think Ohio State will be the favorites to win the national championship if Oden stays. If he stays then Cook and Conley will still be there so they'll have some experience. Plus they have a 7 foot recruit coming next year named Kosta Koufas. Oden and Koufas would be unstoppable down low.

If he came back (which I still don't see happening), Ohio State would obviously be a clear contender to win it all as Oden should only improve his play over the next year. That being said, I don't think it's ever fair to make predictions like these so far in advance. After all, I'm sure someone could have said the same of another team with a talented Freshman last year (i.e. UNC and Hansbrough) without realizing that Oden would step into the scene this year and make such an impact. For all we know there could be another Oden sitting in high school math class as we speak, ready to change the face of the NCAA next year. Obvious contenders if he came back but no guarantees.

You can't predict THAT, but it would be hard to see another team beating them out to start the season at number one. The interesting thing to think about is not only will Oden be a sophomore (sophomores are usually better than freshmen), but also OSU will have Oden for a whole season, not just half a season. It would be great for the college game if he came back... we'll know pretty soon.

Probably a moot question since Oden will not be coming back, but if he did, then yes, Ohio State should definately be in the mix next season.

Yes if he and Conley Jr. stay, they will win it all next year. They will start 3 sophomores out of last year's freshmen (Oden, Conley, and Cook). I have a feeling that Conley and Oden will decide to stay together to try and get one championship.. they really need to for Ohio State's image.

It depends. It's not just about Oden, Ohio State has a few glaring weaknesses that need to be addressed if their going to win a national championship.

if oden comes back then there is a good chance but the buckeys cant shoot 10% from 3 point land and expect to win. the shooting needs to get better in order for them to win the national title

they mite...but UNC is good and there r other good teams that could challenge them...and Oden will definitly come back, hes not ready for the NBA yet, he even says hes not ready for it yet

Why would he come back? He got his one year of college ball in, that's the requirement right? He's good, he'll go to the NBA and he'll do great.
