Get the codes first, but most likely a clockspring on a caravan.

I have a 2002 Grand Caravan and my airbag light was on too. Took it to the dealer and they replaced clock spring, a few months later light came back on- this time they said it was a faulty wire in the steering column. Once the wire was fixed the light was gone and hasn't come back on!

Its really a good call on the Airbag system, the best thing to do is get a scanner and scan it for a trouble code. The vehicle may be under warranty so get it checked soon, the warning light means something is not working right.

    Good Luck and GOD Bless

i own a repair shop, and basically all its telling you is you have a sensor going out on it,it don't mean that the air bag wont function right in an accident, but it needs to be repaired ,the sensors on the bottom of the car are usually the ones that go bad first ,but you can take it to any good repair shop and the can probably scan it for you and tell you exactly which one it is,and there not very expensive either, but that's all it is with it good luck i hope this helps.

You have a malfunction in your SRS system. Take it to a shop and have it diagnosed and fixed properly.
