Question about The Amazing Race last Sunday....when they were in poland?
When they did tasks in Poland, the little person and the blond chick had problems with people helping them...it seemed that the people in Poland were not friendly and were kind of cold. Did you get that impression? Thanks.

I have been to Poland several times and I don't think that the people are particularly unfriendly. They are European, so they may not smile as readily as some other cultures.
Charla and Mirna come across as loud, tacky Americans -- something that would turn off most cultures. Warsaw is a cosmopolitan city so people are also a bit more aloof (just as people would characterise NYC or Paris...) I think in some of the more exotic locales, the people are still interested in seeing "crazy white people" but in Poland they're less interesting for locals.
I like Poland even more!!

Actually quite the opposite. They came off as the stereotypical "ugly American" expecting everyone to do things their way. Even on the cab rides in differing countries they put on phony stupid accents and tried to get over.
I don't think people in Poland are non-friendly in general. But figure...the land was Communist and to me I just think that the older generation of people in the country had a hard life.

Sort of but I also think that they (mirna and charla) are a little forward and can come across as rude themselves. Not to mention they are a little over the top!
