Best Way to handle those who contact you thru Instant Message with unwanted request for participation...?
does yahoo have somewhere you can turn with this stuff?!
Unsolicited contacts by other yahoo "customers" inquiring if you are interested in taking part in certain activities......or extending invitation of interest by offering their number or requesting you call them and/or so forth.
Personally find this insultive - as did not request, should not be bothered with this type!!

You can either block the person from IM'ing you- there should be an "ignore user" button on the IM- or you can set it to ignore IM's from anyone not in your contact list.
Your other option is to stop using IM; no one at Yahoo is going to sit there and screen messages for you, it's a free service after all, and it seems odd that you'd get personal suggestive IM's like that unless you're visiting adult chat rooms or have an online profile at a dating site. In which case, you'd have no cause to complain.

You can block them, really? Cause I blocked someone and they've shown up again. There is no "ignore user" button.
