is hookah smoking safer than ciggarets?

Hookah tobacco contains about 80% fruit and molasses and only about 20% tobacco. Some kinds have no tobacco at all. Have your girlfriend order some non tobacco shisha (tobacco)...there are may places online to do so...and most places will allow you to use it or they may offer it themselves. Traditional hookah smoking doesn't invovle "inhaling" the smoke...not to sound like a certain former leader here, but you're not supposed to inhale a hookah.

It is NOT safer--- actually research says that smoking a hookah for one hour is like smoking 100 ciggerettes. Tell her to stay away. This is a local news investigation on the Hookah craze. Certainly YES, hookah normally have very less tobacco and tar and nicotine than normal cigarettes. If some one can stopping smoking by going to hookah bar than its good.

the tobacco still burns. If she says it doesnt, then she is just making up an excuse to make you feel better. and no, it isnt any safer...actually, the lack of a filter that a cigarette provides will cause more lung damage.

Smoking Hookah does more harm to health, than smoking cigarettes.

its not as bad in that way that it doesnt have as many bad chemicals as big brand cigarettes, but they also have no filter so it is basically, just as bad. Plus did you know that sitting in a smoke filled room is smoking one cigarette an hour?? i smoke so i dont really care... interesting though..

Tobacco in any form, and put into the mouth by any method, is unhealthy.

tell her she will get cancer in her lungs and die if she doesn't stop smoking whatever stuff she does
