How do I fix the sound on my computer after upgrading to Windows Vista?

I recently upgrade to Windows Vista and I do not have sound. I get this message "No Audio Output Device is installed". How do I fix this?

    go to http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/def...

    download updates.

    after you reboot your computer the sound should be ok

    Click START

    Click Control Panel

    Click on System

    Click on Hardware

    Click on Device Manager

    Click on the + by Sound,video,game Contollers

    *IF* you see any Yellow & Black ! point or Red X REMOVEE them

    Shutdown your computer, NOT RESTART

    Wait at least 2 minutes then restart computer

    Windows SHOULD find and REinstall the drivers

    Note: Even IF you don't see the above mentioned ! or X, just remove the sound card drivers anyway, then do the Shutdown procedure

    You need to go your pc manufacturer's website and download an updated audio driver.

    imo ... u downgraded when u went to vista ... but try ur manufacturers support site ..
