Why do we call it Good Friday if this is the day that Jesus was killed?

    It is Good Friday because it is the day that Jesus was crucified on the cross and saved us from our sins.

    We call it Good Friday because we can't eat any meat and Jesus sacrificed Himself for us.

  • I don't think the Christian world focuses on the part that he was killed. More on the why he died part. Dieing for our sins, it's a good thing.

    Because He didn't have to sacrifice Himself for us, but He did because He loves us.
