my daughter-in-law left the navy as an aviation type. (metalsmith)

she went to school to become a paralegal and has been doing that ever since. you have the advantage of having been trained

in that career field. contact law firms as she did until she found one she was comfortable with. in my case i contacted a head hunter who got me a position with honeywell as an avionics type.

one suggestion however, do not limit your search to your career field. your military experience outside your career field such as management potential and leadership qualities are highly prized also. i became a manager in six months.

    good luck in your search.

First off Thanks for your 20 years, Next I had a Big shock when I got out of how much crying and stupid thing do and get away with at work. Also there are a lot of people with out right crappy commutation skills, at time i can spend half the day nailing down bad information and try to figure out what the heck some people are saying. One last thing if you been to the Beach party give your self some time, and know when to take a walk. Best of Luck

I would strongly suggest that you check out your local VA hospital for openings. Considering you are a veteran you will have preference over those who are not. I work at the Bay Pines Florida VA Medical Center for the police department as a dispatcher and there is no way that I could be getting paid this much on the outside. Best of luck to you!

If you have your paralegal certification, you can try law firms or major corporation to assist corporate counsel.
