How to get rid of acne.?
When I was about 13, my mom started nagging and nagging and nagging at me to wash my face every day. And now, I really wish that I had listened.
So about a year ago, I started to have some breakouts, nothing so bad as pizzaface, but I get horrible acne on my forehead (which is why I kept my bangs long).
I have tried every solution I can think of. I've tried Clearasil (didn't work well), another type of Clearisil (made it worse), toothpaste (somewhat worked, but not well), as well as swabbing my face with alcohol.
No solution that I seem to try works very well. And I am sick and tired of this acne, and now that I've had my hair cut, I need it gone, fast!
I need a cheap solution that will work FAST. I mean, in one week I should see results! I am somewhat of a bad eater, so solutions that do not involve major diet changes would help most.
PLEASE HELP ME!
Oh, I forgot to say this, but I do wash my face every day with a bar of soap that was working quite well for a while, but hasn't so much lately, and it's making my acne burn a little.

you should probably try the dermatologist. i know youre looking for something cheaper, but spending money on something that will eventually help you in the long run will be worth it. or even just set up a visit to see what he/she thinks.

well first of all your bangs may have made your acne worse in the first place because of the oil on your hair then getting onto your face.
Make sure you drink lots of water (8 cups/day) and start taking multi-vitamins. And the type of foods you eat do not effect acne unless you notice a specific link to a certain thing that you eat and a breakout. But when you do eat greasy foods make sure not to touch your face because that is how alot of grease is tracked onto the face.
Also baking soda works really well. Try putting a mask on a a baking soda past( baking soda+water) and leave it on for about 15 minutes. You may notice that you have more white heads. but that is good!! the baking soda brings all of the dirt and oil to the surface so they can be washed away by a mild facial cleanser. The baking soda should start seeing good results in about a week-a week and 1/2. And keep a routine going so the results are more steady and work better.
try using spot treatments with over the counter medicines like clearasil or clean and clear.
ALso try blotting sheets to use through out the day so the oil does not build up!
goood luck :)

Ok, diet has nothing to do with acne. That is a myth. I have tried EVERYTHING to clear my acne. I've tired Proactiv, Clinique, Noxzema, Clearasil, Oil of Olay, Aveeno and a few others and this is the only thing that works for me.
Every morning when I wake up I wet a wash cloth with warm water and wash over my face until I feel a slight tingle and then I put 100% Aloe Vera gel on my face. I do the same at night but before I put on the aloe I put lemon juice on my face. Then once a week I do an aspirin mask. (8 uncoated aspirin, few drops of lemon juice, and then aloe vera mixed until you make a paste leave on for 20 mins.)
Let me tell you my face has never looked better! (I've had acne since I was 10 and I'm 17 now) It took a week for my existing acne to be completely gone. This will cost you around $7.

I honestly find the simple methods, the most effective. Get a decent face wash, one that works well with your skin. Figure out what skin type you have and go from there. Wash morning and night, without fail and always remove all traces of makeup if you wear any. Get a moisturiser for day, and a night cream. Moisturise your face morning and night after cleansing. Exfoliate once a week but be gentle. Face mask once a week to a fortnight. And to use directly on spots, antibacterial creams such as sudocrem, savlon or germaline work great on spots. A dab of perfume on them (as long as the spot is not open ie from picking *dont pick!*) on the spot will also help dry it up, make it smaller and reduce redness without drying the skin around it. Just dont use much. I personally find acne treatments are far too harsh on the skin. It may get rid of acne, but your skin gets so so dry, and sometimes acne treatments have left my spots even more inflamed. It must just depend on the skin type.

Well I'd first recommend pinning your bangs back up and dealing with the breakouts your currently having on your forehead, oily hair can cause the oil to transfer onto your skin and just re-clog your pores, which isn't good, right?
Right now I'm currently using OXY Maximum strength face pads they are about ... 6$, I think they have a cleanser and lotion that go along with this product too but I do not use it but if your up to it go right ahead.
I also use Nature's cure two part acne system, the pills that come with the product help control your skin not to break out with stress and hormonal issues.
"Internal Homeopathic Acne Medicine: Acne can be caused by internal imbalances due to diet, stress or hormonal changes, especially during monthly cycles. Nature's Cure tablets are a blend of all-natural ingredients, which stimulate your body's natural defenses to correct these imbalances. So, the tablets work naturally with your body to help stop acne where it can start. " This product comes with a topical cream as well, it's a cheap product but from what I can see so far it is working quiet good it's about 10$ at www.drugstore.com
If your wanting to try something else other than the OXY products I mentioned before the Nature's cure product also carries a "Anti-Acne Papaya Skin Care System" From the reviews I read it works quite good and is about 19$
I saw other people mentioning proactive but it doesn't work on everyone's skin. (It didn't on mine and I got tired of spending so much money on a product that wasn't helping my skin.) I found these products though and they seem to work quiet well and are exceptionally cheap. :]

Let's all be realistic, there is no way to get rid of acne forever. That's just logical. I've been to a dermatologist and I have used plently of products on the market they have perscribed which have been a pain in my pocket. For over two years I have used Proactive and even with that I still get one pimple on occasion but it does the job, and you can schedule the shipments as far out as 16 weeks as opposed to every 8 weeks like they say.
You say you are looking for a cheap solution and unfortunately clear skin does not come cheap, cheap products equal a cheap solution. With Proactive you don't need to change your diet just use it regularly and in 1 week you'll see a difference. Good Luck.

Well I would recomend Proactive, I love it. It is a little expensive though. But it is worth it. I had to stop using it because I cant afford it at the moment.
Clearasil Ultra works really good too. That is what I am using now, along with a prescribed pill.
If you have to I would go see a doctor. They can give you a topical face wash and If that doesn't work they can give you pills to take that will help.Drink pleanty of water.. at least 8 glasses. Diet is not too big of a problem if you drink your water. Also only wash your face 2 times a day. Any more and your face will dry out causing more oils to form and then your pores will clog.GOOD LUCK
Keep you hair out of your face, the oils and things in your hair dont help with you face, also dont touch your face too much. I know you want fast results but they are not going to be that fast. It will take about a month or so for your face to really start clearing up so dont give up or slack off if your product is not working instantly.

Another option to check out is All Clear through BeautiControl. Many people I know have gone through everything, paid thousands of $$, and then try this line and it works in a week.
They have a money back guarantee and the system lasts 3-4 months...depending on usage.
Recommended usage is twice a day...morning and night. It includes a Cleansing Gel w/salicylic acid, a Skin Scrub, Solution and Moisturizer. They also have a sulfur mask and blemish spot treatments...etc.

Its most likely hormonal and you can't do anything about it but keep your skin clean and don't pick at it. The dermatologist can give you better acne meds and if you break out with a really big one, can shoot it up with a medication to make it go away in a day. I used zap - a - zit cream when I was a teen. It worked really good.

I know you might have heard this many times before, but the best solution I think is out there to help clear up acne is Proactive. The trial offer is at a real reasonable price, and it really works! But you have to make sure you use it every day okay?! Hope it works out for you:)
