Melpomene is the muse of tragedy. SHe might be the mother of the sirens but in the sirens myth it only says there father who is the sea god Phorcys, although in one version of the myth their father is the river god Achelous.

I looked her up, but all I got was that she was one daughter of 9 of Zeus. She was one of the nine muses and her specialty were tragedies. I don't think she was in any greek myths.

I don't think this is what you were looking for, but maybe it is. idk. All i know is that the internet isn't being nice (lol) and it won't give me any myth/story results from ancient greece. sry. NEway, try this. or go to the library and ask a librarian for a book of greek myths.
