What are the best saddlebags for the Honda Rebel?

I just bought a rebel and I want to get saddlebags. Any info on windshields would also be greatly appreciated. Any ideas? Thanks

They will have to small or it won't look right. The slanted styles will clear the shocks a lot better. Any of the small throwover bags for cruisers would be ok, but get saddlebag supports to keep the bags from rubbing against the paint. I used Willie and Max bags on an old Vulcan I used to have. They are durable and good looking, but if it rains your stuff will likely get wet. Hard bags are better, but difficult to fit on such a small bike.

Brothers little rebel had a clear plastic holder to bolt to back of license plate frame- this for Iowa that wanted clearly visible document. Other Rebel riders have handlebar mounted clear tubes. If state doesn't require a visible registration, than the metal tube clipped to frame is about best way. The other way for brothers insurance cards,etc- a set of small saddlebags I got him few years back. Get a small tail trunk for paperwork and raincoat.
