I tried to get a favorite Avatar photo in place of the silhouette that shows now but could not make it change.

How do I get it to change to the avatar picture?

    Try these links:

If you want to use one of the cartoon 'avatars' then It's a two step process

    1) Create your avatar

Go to your Answers profile page http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit...

In the 'Picture' section, click on "Edit My Avatar"

That takes you to the Avatars site where you can create your avatar

    2) Display your avatar on Answers

Back on your Answers profile page, http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit...

In the Picture section, select "Use My Yahoo Avatar"

    =================

If you want to use some other pic or a photo, then this requires a 360 account and this is a 3 step process.

    1) You'll need to create your Yahoo! 360 account. http://360.yahoo.com/

NOTE: Currently, you have to be 18 or older to get a 360 account.

So far, this is the only option if you want to use some other picture or photo.

The only three options for pics you have on your Answers profile is no pic, Yahoo avatar, or 360 picture.

    2) You'll need to upload one or more pictures to your 360 page.

On your 360 page, select "My Page" from the top

Select "Edit Personal Photos" on the left hand side

Browse to your saved photo(s) (assuming you have one or more ready) to upload it.

This link will take you there http://upload.360.yahoo.com/edit/photos....

Select the "Set as Primary" button next to the photo want displayed on other sites (like Answers) and select "Save"

    3) You'll need to display your 360 picture on Answers

Go to your "My Q&A" page, select "Edit My Info"

In the "Picture" section, select "Use my Yahoo! 360 Picture"

This link will get you to that page, http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit...

It has been reported by other users that it can take a couple of days before the option to use your 360 pic appears on your Answers profile.

If you found this helpful, a best answer vote, which can be given after 4 hours from the time the question was posed, would be appreciated (most newbies don't seem to know about that!)

Go to "edit my info." They'll have a section there for pictures. Select the "Edit my Yahoo! avatar" button. Once you've decided how you want you avatar to look like, click save. Then click "preview" in the "edit my info" section. Once you've finished all of that, you should be able to get your avatar.

i understand a thank you to do the problem-unfastened ones, yet till i will decide a thank you to do the Zardoz floating head as a gif with comprehensive sound-encompass, i truly can no longer think of of the rest that proper conveys the real psychological potential of my solutions different than this gray, nameless, silhouette face that activities this sort of provocative, stimulating and, dare I say, sexually exciting expression.
