How do we rid ourselves of Jessica R?
I give her an automatic thumbs down whenever I come across her, but that hasn't stopped her.
8: It doesn't seem to matter. JR gets banned and reappears the next day.
Avatar: Thanks. I had no idea how far back this went. Stopping "her" may be hopeless, then?

I'm impressed that yahoo has deleted the bot so quickly this time after only 1 or 2 responses. Weeks ago it took almost 10 responses for it to leave. Months ago a bot got to level 7 in 2 days and though everyone was screaming about it took a while to get rid of it. Looks like now yahoo is catching it before the abuse reports or thumbs down. Another thought is "it" is on other yahoo countries reeking havoc, but getting deleted "it's" every step of the way. Oh by the way it is not a person per say, it is a program, when they figure out the person behind the program maybe we won't fret so much about bots anymore.

reporting or telling this person off is never going to help. people like this are amused at upsetting people and as long as you acted bothered and talk about them they will continue. the only way to rid someone of this site is to not play there game. ignore them and they will soon get bored and go away. I have seen many come and go on this site and that is the only way they stop.

You need to click on the flag icon next to the thumbs down button to report her.
Yahoo only knows about abuse and spam if we inform them, so it is our responsibility to report any of her answers that we come across.
You can also email the AOL Hometown Team to inform them of the mature content on her page, which is a violation of their guidelines. Send an email to:
hmtwnmail@aol.com
Containing a link to her AOL Hometown page:

That little troll keeps getting suspended and then returns to create a new screen name to get back onto the site....that's how she keeps trolling around here...I've already reported her to AOL/Hometown....another thing....AOL is a VPN (virtual private network)....not the public Internet....so advertising in their VPN is definitely not enough to gain anything towards her site unless she goes outside the territory to get people to come into the territory.
Source(s): Addendum: It makes sense now....the post above stating that it is a "Bot" that runs itself into various sites like this one...But what does AOL know about Bots in their own little VPN world? ...phishing is getting rampant....more than doubled since 2005!!! Guess all we can do now since it was mentioned above as a "bot" program...just ignore it and let Yahoo! Get the culprit that is behind it....just keep reporting is all we can do til they do get it taken care of.... - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

The day you free yourself from the stress on this site will be your best day yet. I don't want my blood pressure to go up and I don't need ulcers. So I learned to pass junk by, just humming to myself and I feel much better. Let some other person who grinds their teeth do that for you. Pass her by. It works too!

Abuse reports don't stop her either. You might want to post a comment under the Answers blog "Gremlins, Bugs and Trolls"
