California State University- CSU schools?

I know for UC schools, if you take a quarter off, you have to let admissions know or else they freeze your account. Does anyone, that goes to a CSU school know, if we have to notify the school if we decide to not go for a semester? Thanks in advance!

Actually no you don't unless you plan on taking quite some time off. You do need to notify the financial aide department if you receive a grant but other than that no.

I'm a student at SFSU and took a semester off for Maternity Leave. When I went to admissions to ask which offices I needed to notify, the info I just shared is what they told me.

Hope it helped. But if you still have questions, go ahead and email the admissions office at your school. They should be able to answer all of your questions.

Yeah you do. It's called a Leave of Absence. All you have to do in most cases is log in to your registration account and there should be a way to do it online. I believe most of the time it is instantly approved. This is the only way to ensure that you will be allowed to continue education at that CSU under the same degree requirements as you started. If you don't do this then you will have to re-apply and could be required to complete a new set of GE/major requirements.

No- I go to Sac State and took this last fall and this spring off because my mom died. I dont have to let them know, but i do have to "Reapply" in the admissions dept. when I go back in the fall. I would double check with your dept. as they all have different requirments.

For law school preparation I recommend my alma mater, Sonoma State. My friends and I who majored in history all went on to law school.
