what do you think the theme of "the Raven" is?

I am just looking for other peoples views on the poem "the Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe

    The poet cannot accept that his beloved one is gone, but subconsciously knows that he can't bring her back. The raven that appears represents his reason, his common sense, which tells him that he has to move on, cause there's nothing he can do. He has to deal with the fact that he will never see her again ("nevermore"). And in the end, he does ("...And the raven never flitting, still is sitting on the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door... and my soul, from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted nevermore...").
