New York City Hotels?

Question

What hotels are near the broadway area and Time Square? We are wanting to go to NYC to see some broadway plays and do some shopping but all the hotels I have found share bathrooms. Does NYC not have hotels with rooms that have there own bathrooms?? I don't want to spend $200 a night and not have my own bathroom. Any ideas where to stay would be great. We are wanting to use public transportation or walk to where we want to go.

You would get more for your money if you considered locations that are not right at broadway. It's easy enough to get around that area just about wherever you stay. For a bit more $ you can probably find yourself your own vacation apartment with bathroom, kitchen, etc..There are a bunch listed on the NYC Tourist Center website.

W New York Times Square is supposed to be okay, not sure on their pricing.  When I go on my trip in a few days, we're staying at the W New York a few blocks from Times Square...i've heard the rooms are small, but nice,  but we don't plan on spending a lot of time in our room either.  Try hotels.com or travelocity.com.  Also, don't forget if you have AAA or a hotel rewards club you can get discounts.

i use to work right around there. there is a hotel called the edison. its around 140 to 160. probably cheaper now.
