How do I make a link so it can be clicked on to go there, rather than copy/paste?

I notice some people put a word and it is highlighted and it takes you to a site. How is this done?

Depends, if you use HTML commands on notepad (as a source code of HTML) it will be written like this:

    <a href="URL you want">text</a>

    example:

<a href="www.yahoo.com">Yahoo</a>, the result will be the link in HTML page that link your page to yahoo.

If your talking about within yahoo answers to create the link you have to include the http:// before the address.

    so www.yahoo.com doesn't work but http://www.yahoo.com/ does.

copy-paste the link from the adress bar instead of typing it, for example

    If you type: www.yahoo.com

It's not the same as: http://www.yahoo.com/

Either add it to your favorites menu or if you have Firefox, add it to your bookmarks.
