I actually have the dvd. I think it's a great emotional picture of what was going on with them toward the end of the Beatles era...you can really see the difference in John falling in love with Yoko and feeling he needed to do something more with his music.
It's a great film, but actually a little bit sad.

That's like a 'Farmer wants a Wife' fan making fun of That 70's Show ;) Don't look too much into it. The Beatles = An Amazing Band that have stood the test of time and have influenced countless other musicians, along with being completley awesome themselves. Twilight= Some fad book that gains 80% of it's popularity from stupid 13 year old tweens who obsess over the crap book, made into an equally crap movie, featuring some good looking man playing Edward Cullen, who by the way actually hates the book Twilight and loves The Beatles. So there, Beatles rock, Twilight sucks. Whoever says differently is either extremley stupid, or is trolling.

I have seen it numerous times. It is a film that was way ahead of its time, in regards to the reality television and documentary film trends of today. If your a Beatle fan it is a must see. It actually shows the band nearing its end, and becoming more indiviual in their musical and personal pursuits. The performance of the song One after 909 (a song Lennon and Mccartney wrote early in their days as beatles, but never recorded until then) is great, Also there is a scene in which Mccartney and Harrison are having an argument about the way George is playing on a track they are recording that shows the tension between them at the time. The live perfomance on the roof at the end is also fantastic and would be the last performance the Beatles would ever give as a band.

First let me say, I was 15 when the Beatles conquered the world. I was one of the lucky ones who saw their first American concert....Feb,'64,the D.C. Coliseum. I was a TRUE Beatlemaniac.....totally insane over them
Now, that being said, I saw "Let It Be" when it was shown on tv, back in the 70's. I loved it. One of my memories was watching little Heather(Linda's daughter from her first marriage) cavort with Paul and Ringo. Watching the Beatles interact was very interesting. Paul was (is) such an enormous talent...he knows exactly what each instrument should be playing in his songs. He is thought of as very egocentric. I think it comes with the territory....the scene where he is "getting at George" must have been very disturbing to both fellows.....I assume George felt "put upon" and Paul,I can only assume, felt frustrated......he's ben criticized much over the years, for that scene.
The Beatles were together for a few years BEFORE they were famous. By the time this film was made, they had been together about 11 years or so....that's a long time. In any event, I enjoyed the film. I count myself very fortunate to have been a 15 year old in 1964....the world was SO different. I got to see the Beatles....the likes of which will never be seen again.
Thank you for the question.
