Is "Reverend" Al a blasphemer?
He is supposed to be a reverend. That means he is supposed to uphold values of Christianity, such as love, forgiveness, redemption. Instead, "Reverend" Al and "Reverend" Jesse Jackson, the other blasphemer, set out on a mission to destroy a fool's livelihood and won. Yet the greasy headed blasphemer can call Jews "diamond merchants", among the other things he's done and not have to live up to the standards he set for everyone else that is not his skin color. Not only is it hypocritical, but outright blasphemy by someone sporting a fake reverend tag and throwing it up when it suits HIS needs. What do you think?

I seen where the team accepted his apology and said they were in the process of forgiving him. Get real. I watch this show Lockup on MSNBC and I have seen a murdered girls parents forgive and hug the man who killed her. If nappy-headed-hoes is the worst thing these girls have heard than they have lived a very pampered and sheltered life. I would like to say congratulations to Al Sharpton for getting this man fired, I mean no one rioted or was killed but I guess it could still be called a victory for him. All this did is create more racism than there was before and when everyone calls Don Imus a old white man, I believe that is more derogatory than what he said. I seen Whoopie Goldberg criticizing Don Imus, even though the reverends proved to everyone they hate Jews. Well this is how I feel, sorry.

I'm not sure as to the validity of the Reverend title they have, so I won't argue it. I'm also not sure if blasphemy is right, but I do know that they are hypocrites. When Jackson called Brooklyn (I think it was that borough), "hymie town" many years ago, nobody said much about it. Let a white man say something about the ethnicity of the Bronx, and it'd be over for him. Double standard? Yes! Racial stereotyping of exactly the same type as Imus? Absolutely!! And I'm sure he'll tell you that he can't be racist because he is a minority. WRONG. Racism is the discrimination, or classification of a person BASED ON RACE. Anyone can do it, and both of the reverends do regularly.

Yes, he is a blasphemer and a hypocrite. Why isn't he calling for the major music labels to drop all the rappers who call women hoes, b!tches, and talk about nothing but using them as sex toys? Imus apologized and his apology was accepted by Rutgers and the basketball team. But that wasn't enough for the good Reverend, now was it? I've said it before and I'll say it again: Had Sharpton or Jesse called a predominately white team a bunch of "long legged crackers", I can guarantee they'd both have safe and secure jobs the next week.

D1 Balla definitely won this one! If you haven't checked out his utube video yet, you should. His thoughts on this subject are ones that should be taken very seriously. Here is a guy with a 10 minute answer that gives us logical understanding and several quotes of other African American leaders that have actually done something right for their people. To guide them in a path of Independence. A path filled with goals and self accomplishments that result in successful, happy people. I love to see that not just white people are seeing this situation for what it is. Sure it was wrong of Imus, but I also watched an interview today in a college classroom and when asked the question " Have you ever called someone a HOE?", all but one person raised their hand to "YES". By the way, it was an African American class. The double standard has to stop. We need to stop fighting against each other (Black vs. White )and join together before all of our precious rights as Americans are lost.

He is no more a "reverend" than Jesse. Self proclaimed and paying $10 to the Internet Skool of Religion for the title doesn't make it so.
If one is a true believer of just about any major religion, this person knows what Al and Jesse really are.

My main issue with these two is that they add fuel to the fire, but will never apologize when they are in the wrong. Jesse Jackson called for the heads of the Duke lacrosse players and they were found to be erroniously charged. Where are the lacrosse players apology from him? Has Al Sharpton ever apologized for the Tawana Brawley matter?
Bottom line: sometimes when you are pointing the finger, you should point it at yourself.

Jackson and Sharpton have done more to promote bigotry than anything Imus could say..
This has polarized opinion rather than opening dialog..
They used to call guys like this pharisees.
They will have their dues to pay eventually..
