You didn't say whether this always happens. Could be when he's sleeping on his back, and it comes to the front for that reason- forced up to the front. Or, conversely, he's on his belly and the poop is runny and runs down to the front for that reason.
Believe me, this will all be over before you know it and you'll consider poopy diapers a dream compared to the stuff you'll have to deal with.
My son went through a phase when he was in diapers where we'd come into his room in the morning, he'd be happy as could be, and have crap smeared all over himself and his bed.
That's life.

how old is your son? My boys diapers were mostly wet and poopy in the front and middle. Girls tend to do everything up the back. He poops so much because he probably has a high metabolism and food goes thru him faster than you think it should. If he is on babyfood, try lower fiber foods if he has loose bowel problems. If that doesnt work then ask his doctor. If he is 4 months or older and is not on cereal or babyfood yet, maybe his body is triing to tell you that he is ready for more solid food with his formula/breast milk. They have bottle feeders for infants not ready for spoons.

How old is your son? Is he on solids? Is he crawling?
As to where the poop ends up on the nappy, basicly it has a lot to do with gravity. So if he is crawling then the front is closest to the ground and that is where its going to head. Ditto if he sleeps on his tummy. As to how much he poops, that depends on what and how much he eats, unless its really loose and smelly, then it could be a tummy bug, or something he's eaten that didn't agree with him.

Because he is probably sitting when he poops and it get squished to the front of his diaper. I surely don't miss them days of poopy diapers. I went through it 4 times, can you imagine that.?

Well, he probably sits down therefore smashing the poop and it ends up going forward in his diaper.
