How long does it take for a pool to be built?

For a liner pool, I would say a week. Depending on the conditions of them not hitting a water table, the condition of the soil vs clay. Takes a day to dig, a day to do form up the footer to go under the walls, a day to pour concrete & have it "set". A day to set the walls, a day to "work" the soil or whatever you're choosing to put under the liner, & a 1/2 day to put the liner in place. From there as long as it takes to fill the pool. (I was in the business yrs. ago!) BUT, there are a lot of "ifs" that can foil a days work...This is based on a wk. of good weather & someone working strictly on your pool & no one elses stuck in between yours hopping back & forth between jobs! Of course IF you're going to have a concrete walk around the pool, add a couple days extra for forming up & pouring & depending on the size of the walk way. Also depends on if you're going to have diving boards, sliding boards to "form up" & also if you're having steps!!! Lots of ifs!!!

It could take a month or longer. They very seldom work on the job until it's done. They pull more than one permit and usually start more than one pool at the same time. They preform the same task on each pool. Example electrical,plumbing,rebar.

4 days work for a concrete pool.

(usually takes 3 months to get the 4 days work done)

1 day for a fibreglass one.

(about a week)

Depends on the size. What is medium? Medium to one person could be small or large to another.

By the way, how long is a piece of string?

About 3 weeks with no rain.

It could be put up in a day and a day or two to fill it and a lifetime scrubbing and cleaning it.
