Depends on what your trying to do. If your attempting to make an AMV - "anime music video" then you need something like windows movie maker and some anime shows and a song to go with said anime...Or vice versa... If you have windows xp..."windows movie maker" should be standard. If you wanna make a music video of your self get a webcam or video recorder...Record your self doing what ever maybe singing...Then splice in the music by using windows movie maker... if this helps let me know at gamejunke@hotmail.com

Are you trying to make a music video? If so Windows movie maker is good, also Magix.

Windows Movie Maker is simple and easy to use. Ulead is also good but it costs a bit of money. It has a lot more capabilities.
