Where do you store your handbags and purses?
For the past couple of nights I've been cleaning out my closet and figuring out how to save space. My only real problem is that I can't find a place to keep my purses and bags..
I've gone through my wardrobe and donated the items I no longer use but the bags still don't fit in my closet or dresser. I had them on these hooks on my walls but it looked really cluttered and the purses got all dusty. I change purses a lot, so I don't want to have to store them in bins somewhere I won't have easy access. What do you do? What would you do? What could I buy to help me out with this task, besides a bigger apartment with more closet space?

clear plastic bins under your bed? maybe put your bed up on cement blocks or another lift? you can get lifts for beds at bed bath and beyond type places .
or maybe hang your favorite smaller bags on the wall and store your larger ones on the floor of your closet?
i keep mine in bins in the floor of my closet. my favorite ones i have in hanging multi-shoe holders that i put in my coat closet. they're perfect for small bags, scarves, other accessories. i also found an ottoman with space inside for storage that I love. I don't use it for bags, but things like that which have double uses are great for small spaces. think a wooden chest instead of a coffeetable, a pile of old fashioned suitcases instead of a side table. also, bags are usually pretty seasonal, so maybe if you pick out a few to get you through this month to have readily available and store the rest somewhere maybe less accessible. going into the back of your closet or digging under your bed aint that bad if its just once a month.

I store my purses inside little "sleeper" bags. The sleeper bags come with some purses, but old pillow cases work just the same. Of if you sew, make draw string bags that fit each purse, it keeps the dust off and protects them until you want to use them again. I've had one bag for over 20 years and carry it all the time, but it looks good since I've kept it inside a cloth bag. I stuff them with tissue paper so they keep their shape and put them into the cloth bags so they look good as new.
Under bed storage containers are fabulous. There are also risers that you can buy at bedding stores- they come in different heights and will raise you bed by 2, 4, or 6 inches. If you get your bed up higher off the ground you can put tons of stuff under it. My bed is going to be a foot away from the ceiling if I'm not careful!

What I would do is that i would put some hooks on top of the walls and place my purses their. They would be around the room cause they are going to be hanging from the wall and whenever you need a bag they are going to be their. If you don't want for them to collect dust before you hang them put them inside clear bags and then hang them. Good Luck and God Bless to you and your loved ones.

Same problem here; I screwed cup hooks into my closet door (inside) and hang my purses there. Overflow can go on cup hooks on the back wall of the closet.

Buy a flat storage container with wheels. Store your purses and bags inside and slide beneath your bed. It will not only be out of sight, but will keep them clean and fairly handy as well.

Deacon's bench at the foot of your bed. Easy access, and the purses are protected and out of sight.

They have these hanging storage bins that you hang up in your closet by your clolthes. Most people use them for clothes and sweaters.... but I have stuffed my purses in them. Worked great!
